Grandma used to say the tangles in my hair were faeries tying knots. I never believed her till I caught one there this morning.

Whatever we’ve been injecting our kids with has made them burn with power. We’re in trouble, but we worship them now. Praise the Child-Gods!

By the end of the war, we were eager to end it and assimilate. They recognize nothing but our veterans. We’re grateful for at least that.
